One wine bar grew into a family of Pensacola gathering places. Each has its own personality, connected by a shared commitment to good food, great drinks, and genuine hospitality.
It Started on Palafox
In November 2010, Ian Kaple opened The Wine Bar on Palafox. Drawing on a lifetime of experience in food and beverage, his vision was simple: offer exceptional wines at approachable prices, paired with genuine hospitality.
That first downtown restaurant became the beginning of Kaple Hospitality. Over the years, bottle shops, a second wine bar, a neighborhood bar, and a food truck joined the family—creating more ways to enjoy a meal, discover a bottle, and spend time together.
How We Grew
November 2010 · The Wine Bar on Palafox
Our story begins in downtown Pensacola, bringing food, wine, and hospitality together on Palafox Place.
December 2015 · The Bottle Shop on Baylen
Our first bottle shop opens on Baylen Street in the space now home to Bar, Justa.
November 2021 · East Hill Bottle Shop
The family expands into East Hill with a neighborhood destination for wine shopping and tastings.
December 2022 · A New Home on Baylen
The Bottle Shop on Baylen moves next door into its current building, continuing its story on the same street.
December 2024 · East Hill Wine Bar
East Hill Wine Bar opens beside East Hill Bottle Shop, connecting neighborhood dining and wine shopping in one visit.
April 2026 · Bar, Justa & So Yummy
Bar, Justa and the So Yummy food truck open on Baylen Street, joining The Bottle Shop on Baylen around a shared courtyard for food, drinks, and gatherings.
Connected by More Than a Name
In East Hill, our wine bar and bottle shop sit side by side, with shared outdoor spaces for select events. On Baylen Street, the bar, food truck, and bottle shop come together around the courtyard.
Each place offers something different. Together, they give our guests more ways to gather—over lunch, a glass of wine, a tasting, or a celebration planned with our catering team.
